Yes, he's the author of Looking For Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, and Paper Towns, and he's on tour all over the US! Yay! You can find the complete list of dates and places by clicking here: nerdfighters.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1833893%3ABlogPost%3A903394&page=5#commentsAnywhere near you? He's coming to my state, Minnesota, three times which is completely cool, and I'm definitely going. John Green's one of my fave authors and it promises to be an awesome event. I can't wait! Are you guys attending an event? Are you excited?!

Well, he's coming to my state but not anywhere within four or five hours of here. I guess I won't be able to see him

Here are the ones in my state: Sunday, November 9th Newport News, VA with Hank and Katherine! Details TBA Monday, November 10th Charlottesville, VA with Hank and Katherine! Details TBA The closest is Charlottesville- only an hour away. I could get both Paper Towns (ARC) and Abundance of Katherines signed! YAY! Newport News is about 3 hours away, I think, so prolly won't go to that one. Also, um, who's Katherine?

Lancaster is like forty minutes from where I live. I've only read "Looking for Alaska", and I loved it. Seriously amazing. I borrowed it from the library and regretted it because I so wanted to write in it. So now I must buy a copy so I can write in it. Which sounds sort of evil, but it isn't. So perhaps. Or I could go visit my grandmother, who lives outside Pittsburgh...But Lancaster would be better. And cheaper 'cause gas is pricey.

I so wish I had an ARC of Paper Towns. Urgh. The wait is killing me. Katherine is Hank's wife I think. Luckily for me, he's coming to my actual city which is quite handy. Even if he wasn't I'd definitely consider driving a ways. Although, gas prices are pretty brutal...

Yeah, gas is getting pretty bad, esp. here because of Hurricane Ike and the shutting down of the gas pipes. Several gas stations in my area have temporarily run out of gas. But I'm sure by the time John does his tour, everything will be all good and gas will be back to normal (some places, it's already gone up to $5.00, but only because of the gas shortage). It's been about $3.49/gallon around here, which is pretty good. The lowest it got recently was $3.27/gallon.
And ah ok. Cuz at first, I thought "Well, he did write Abundance of Katherines, maybe it's his wife." But I checked his bio and his wife's name is Sarah, lol. But yeah, that does make sense if it's Hank's wife. I'm an indifferent John Green fan since I haven't really read anything by him, but I do really want to, esp. after seeing several of his vlogs. But hopefully by the time I get around to reading Abundance and Paper Towns and his short story in Let It Snow, I'll be a rabid fan, lol.

I'm sure you will be. You'd better be. Yeah, I love his vlogs so much. He and his brother are hilarious and never fail to make me laugh out loud. Seeing a new video is up is definitely a high point of my day. haha. Gas here is pretty decent. 3.49 maybe? Not too bad. We had a really bad point when it was above $4, but that passed thankfully. whew.

darn, the event that is closest to me is Menlo Park and I don't drive so I won't be going. Good news is that I met him before so it's not so bad. I hope you guys (the ones going to an event) have fun!
