Wow, I'm starting yet another topic...sorry guys, but I want some advice. So Jason Mraz is one of my fave music artists. I have almost all of his CDs and he's my kind of guy. And lucky me, he's coming to Minneapolis on November 20th, tickets go on sale this Saturday (the 13th). I went to check his site for any specific info on the show and it says that it's sold out. Hmmmm... Also, November 20th would also be the night that the Twilight movie comes out at midnight. I think it would be really cool to see a movie on it's first night, since I've never actually done that before. So I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to try to get tickets to the Mraz show if it turns out that they're not actually all gone, or if I'm going to spend my evening chilling with my friends and going to the midnight showing of one of the most anticipated book-ish movies of the year. I love Jason Mraz and I love Robert Pattinson. Can you see my problem? Any thoughts/opinions/advice? I'm not sure at all. Urgh.

I'd see if I could get tickets to the concert.
But though it would be a lot of fun to go to the midnight showing of "Twilight" with your friends, you could just go a different night instead. It'd be just as easy. But it would take a lot more time before you could possibly go to another Jason Mraz concert.
Part of this is my uncertainty on how good "Twilight"'s going to be; I haven't listened to Jason Mraz, but I'm betting that the concert is probably going to be awesome (because concerts normally are) but the movie, though with your friends it'd probably be fun regardless, may or may not be worth missing the concert for.
I guess the thing is, think about 21 November and how you'd feel on that day after each of the events. Which would you regret missing more?

Concert. I'd definitely go to the concert.
You can see the movie any night but concerts aren't every night.
There's probably going to be a second Twilight movie (hopefully) so you'd be able to see that again at midnight.
But I agree with anilee. Think about how you'd feel the day after.

Well, it turns out that the tickets really are sold out which stinks. But that also means I'll be able to go to Twilight opening night which'll be cool. I think if I was forced to choose I would've chosen the concert because it would have been more worth my while in the long run, but alas, that option is no longer a possibility thanks to some really weird circumstances which I don't quite understand. Thanks for the advice guys, you were right on in how I'd feel.

So it works out in the end (sort of); you'll probably get to go to a concert someday. :-)
Only if the tickets won't go on sale until Saturday, how can they be sold out BEFORE Saturday?

advance orders/reserves i think. i don't think that that's really reasonable, but whatever.

No, it's really not. If the tickets go on sale Saturday, they go on sale Saturday. End of story. Or else you put them on sale earlier. Which is apparently what happened. And no one told you. Which is very unfair.
